About Our Software

Backup your GMail using Exponent APITM CloudMailTM Tool

Exponent APITM CloudMailTM is a standlone desktop application that functionally improves the way you backup your important email and gives you peace of mind.

Need to keep a copy of some important emails offline?

Download IMAP mail and attachments directly to your PC from service providers like Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Zoho and AOL

Use filtering options to narrow the scope of collections when backing up your important messages. Narrow your backups by locating select keywords in common message fields (e.g., Subject, From, To, CC, BCC, Body). Use date ranges that messages were Sent to further narrow what you need to backup. You also have the option to only target specific emails in certain folders (aka: "Labels"). Please note that CloudMailTM can connect with most other 3rd party email service providers that support IMAP.

What does the software do with your data?

CloudMailTM is a read-only email collection tool.

When you authorize Exponent API's CloudMailTM tool to connect to your Gmail account, you also define which emails can be accessed and downloaded. Copies of your selected emails are downloaded to a selected folder on your computer in .EML file format. But don't worry! Your original emails are left safely inside your Gmail account, unaltered. That also means that messages that are still unread will remain unread. Once the messages have been downloaded and stored locally, you can then use 3rd party software to review the emails offline.

Signing in with Google

In order to access your Gmail account and it's contents, your authorization is required.

The Google Sign-in process is an authorization process that has several steps. Exponent API's CloudMailTM will need your approval before your emails can be accessed or downloaded. Please click here to learn exactly what this process looks like.

How we license
our software

Use of the Exponent APITM CloudMailTM is managed via a non-perpetual subscription-based license that is controlled by a USB software protection device, more commonly referred to as a dongle. Each dongle is licensed as a 1-year subscription. If a subscription is allowed to expire, then the software no longer functions.
